 Spring Semester 2007

Wednesday. Classes begin 8 a.m. All MW and MWF classes meet this day. Wednesday-only classes begin Wed., Jan. 17. Drop/Add continues.

Monday. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

Wednesday, 5 p.m. Wait lists for Spring 2007 courses are erased.

Wednesday. Drop/Add ends. Note: No course may be added after this date, nor may any changes be made involving P/F grading or audit status in a course. Between this date and March 28, students may withdraw from a course with permission of an academic dean only if the student is carrying a course overload or for other compelling reasons. A grade of WP (withdraw passing) or WF (withdraw failing) will be assigned by the instructor.

Friday. Last day to declare intention to graduate in May 2007. Send an email to trinity.graduation@aas.duke.edu.

Friday. Final date for making course corrections. Also the last day for declaring or changing a major before preregistration for fall 2007. Pre-major students file long-range plans and declare majors only in the Academic Advising Center. Students who wish to change a major may do so in the Registrar's Office, 705 Broad Street, Room 202, or in the Student Service Center, 101 Allen Building.

Friday. Final date to submit work for incompletes from Fall semester 2006.

Friday. Mid-semester advisory grades.

Monday. Summer registration begins, available to all students through Friday, March 9, with no PIN required.

Friday. Spring break begins at 7 p.m.

Monday. Classes resume at 8 a.m.

Wednesday. Deadline for withdrawing from a course. (See note of January 24 .)

Thursday. Registration for Fall semester 2007 begins. Summer 2007 registration resumes.
6 Friday. Last day to petition for relief from three final exams within 24 hours. The petition form (PDF) is available on the Registrar's Office web site.

Friday. Fall semester registration ends.
14 Saturday. Drop/Add for Fall semester begins.

Monday. Last day for juniors to declare intent to be part-time during the last semester of their senior year. Forms are available in the offices of the academic deans.
25 Wednesday. Spring semester classes end.

Thursday – through Sunday, April 29. Reading period.
30 Monday. Final exams begin. (Exam schedule)

Wednesday. Undergraduate reading period, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
