Additional expenses: Additional expenses depend upon the tastes and habits of the individual. Students should be able to attend concerts, plays and movies, go sightseeing, visit museums and exhibits, take short weekend excursions, have an occasional dinner in a restaurant, and travel during the holiday periods. On average, previous students suggest the amount of around $4,200.00 per semester for personal expenses. NOTE: Payment information will be provided in your acceptance packets. Financial Aid: Duke students receiving financial aid are eligible for aid for this program (work-study funds must be converted to loans). Students are individually responsible for making the necessary arrangements with the Office of Undergraduate Financial Aid and the Bursar. Non-Duke students are not eligible to receive financial aid at Duke and should contact their home institutions for financial aid information.
