<description> The families of Brazilian sugarcane workers endure months of separation each 
year as the fathers leave to work the fields. Photographer Emma Raynes 
documents her work to help strengthen connections between 40 absent fathers and 
their families through photography, correspondence and recorded dialogue. 
Raynes project was part of her Lewis Hines Fellowship at the Center for
