| The purposes of this course are twofold: 1) to present a broad range of perspectives and approaches to the science of behavior, and 2) to help prepare candidates in the distinction program for the writing and defense of the thesis. Thus, approximately half of our meetings will be comprised of colloquia by departmental faculty. The other meetings will consist of workshops on research design, scientific writing, thesis and poster preparation, and professional communication. The course is graded on a pass/fail basis, based primarily on participation. Course does not count toward the requirements of the Psychology major or minor. |
