Synopsis of course content
This course addresses perennial questions all humans
wonder about. Is there a God? Is the existence of evil in the world compatible with the existence of an all-powerful and supremely good God? Is my mind
separate from my body? What is morality? Why be
moral? The course will provide an overview of work by
the great philosophers that addresses these
questions. Special focus will also be given to
contemporary moral issues such as just war.
