Synopsis of course content
A critical study of Descartes's mature philosophical system as outlined in his Meditations on First Philosophy, with some attention to his other writings. Study of the primary texts will be supplemented by consideration of relevant secondary literature, with particular focus on John Carriero's recently published commentary on the Meditations, Between Two Worlds.
