Synopsis of course content
Group lessons are geared to the student's skill level and vocal development. Lecture/demonstrations cover the basics of good singing, with an emphasis on classical vocal technique. The remaining class time is used for individual instruction using classical repertoire in a masterclass setting.

Assignments
Class attendance and participation; song practice, memorization and performance; reading assignments; concert attendance.
Exams
A final performance of assigned songs on the last day of classes.
Term Papers
A three-page summary of principles learned over the semester that most apply to the individual.
Grade to be based on
Preparation for classes, class participation, completion of assignments, growth in good singing skills.
Additional Information
Auditions occur during the first few days of classes. Come by early to reserve a time slot and to fill out an Audition Information Form before your audition.
Auditionees should be prepared to sing one piece in any style or language.
Please bring a copy of your music for the accompanist who will be provided.
