Synopsis of course content
This course is designed to develop familiarity with experimental physics research and to give students experience in communicating scientific results to peers. Students can conduct experiments in several areas of physics, e.g., Optics, Condensed Matter, Acoustics, Nuclear and Atomic Physics. A strong emphasis is put on the development of good laboratory habits and techniques. To this aim, each student is required keep detailed accounts of her/his work in a laboratory notebook. There are two afternoon sessions of three hours per week.
