Exams
midterm and final exams: identifications and one or two short essays. (Wide choice available; ids and essay topics selected from pre-distributed lists.)
Term Papers
one historiographical paper with a research component (15+ pages)
Grade to be based on
40% exams; 30% paper; 30% class participation
