In this writing-intensive seminar, you will read texts that represent different styles and formats of writing as you work on developing your German language proficiency. Over the course of the semester you will produce texts working within a range of different genres (a descriptive portrait, a formal letter, a polemical statement, a piece of literary analysis etc.); learn and practice using a number of advanced grammatical structures; and read literary and argumentative texts. The readings, writing tasks, and discussions will also allow you to focus on numerous aspects of German grammar while expanding your vocabulary.
