Synopsis of course content
This is an introductory course to the silkscreen medium. The student will earn all handmade silkscreen stencil processes, including paper stencils, liquid blockout stencils, crayon resist stencils and monoprinting and photosilkscreen. This course will encourage the student to develop their visual and conceptual ideas along with the technical skills needed to work in this medium. Four prints will be completed during the semester, focusing on different aesthetic assignments and silkscreen techniques.
