We read works by and about Darwin and his contemporaries, including Alfred Russel Wallace and Thomas Huxley. Darwin's "Autobiography" and Janet Browne's biography of Darwin provide context for readings of some of his major work, (including the Origin and parts of Sexual Selection and the Descent of Man) and works of his contemporaries.
