Morris K. Udall Scholarship

In 2007, Morris K. Udall the Foundation awarded 78 scholarships of up to $5,000 on the basis of merit to sophomore and junior level college students. Scholarships are offered in any of three categories:

1. To students who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to the environment; or

2. To Native American and Alaska Native students who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to tribal public policy; or

3. To Native American and Alaska Native students who have demonstrated commitment to careers related to Native health care.

PRELIMINARY APPLICATION:   

Interested Duke students should review the application form which can be downloaded from the Foundation's web site: http://www.udall.gov/
The preliminary application at Duke consists of answers to the short questions on pp 1-7, an indication of the topic you would choose for the required essay and an official Duke transcript. Essays and recommendations do not need to be submitted at this time. Nominated students will be required to complete the essay and request recommendations.

Preliminary applications are due on Friday, January 26, and should be delivered to:
