Gates Cambridge Scholarship

University of Cambridge

In October 2000, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation of Seattle, Washington, made a donation of $210 million to the University of Cambridge, England, in order to establish the Gates Cambridge Trust.

This magnificent benefaction creates in perpetuity an international scholarship programme for outstanding students from outside the United Kingdom who gain admission to the University of Cambridge to pursue graduate studies. These individuals will combine academic excellence with leadership potential, and a commitment to serving their communities.

No institutional endorsement required. Students apply for the scholarship and to Cambridge at the same time.

Citizen of any country outside the United Kingdom. Must be admitted to Cambridge through university's normal procedures. May apply to study any subject to pursue research leading to the PhD.; one-year post-graduate coursees (eg MPhil, LLM, Diploma, MBA etc); two-year MSc degree; 2nd Bachelor degree as an Affiliated Student; Or MBBChir Clinical Studies.
