Where do I Apply?

If you are an enrolled Duke student, you must apply through Duke. If you are a recent Duke graduate, you can apply either directly to Fulbright as an at-large applicant or through Duke. Note that recent Duke graduates who apply through the IIE are entitled to neither advice from the Duke Fulbright Program Adviser, nor a campus interview, nor an institutional evaluation.

If you apply through Duke, your hard-copy application and all supporting materials are due on or before Tuesday, September 15, 2009 (4.00 p.m.) . At this time, you should have also submitted your entire application online and your registered referees and evaluators should have submitted their recommendations/evaluations online. The physical hard copy should be mailed to: Pegeen Ryan-Murray, Duke University, OUSF, Box 90756, Durham NC 27708 OR hand-delivered on campus to: Pegeen Ryan-Murray, Room B209, Smith Warehouse at 114 S. Buchanan Blvd., Bay 8, 2 nd Floor . Three confidential letters of recommendation must also be submitted by this time. They can be emailed or faxed directly to OUSF by the referee/evaluator. Hand-delivered letters of recommendation must be in sealed envelopes that are signed by the referee on the back flap.

If you apply at-large , your complete application package must be delivered to IIE/Southern , 1800 West Loop South, Suite 250, Houston, TX 77027 by the national deadline.
