A&S Information Technology Security Policies

 
   

The overriding objective of these policies is the establishment of a common set up understandings and protocols to support A&S faculty, staff and students' use of information technology as a robust and dependable instrument in pursuit of their academic and administrative activites.

Working policies are developed by the A&S IT Security Team with input from faculty and the greater IT professional community. Policies are reviewed by the A&S Computing Committee before recommendation to the Dean of Arts & Sciences.

A&S is developing and deploying policies to address the following areas.

  1. Accounts
  2. Privacy
  3. Desktop Computers
  4. Wireless and Casual Laptop Connectivity
  5. Servers & Remote Access Host Machines
  6. Public Access Computers
  7. Web Page Development
  8. Outsourcing
  9. Wireless Access Point Deployment
