Preliminary Issues for Consideration

1. Faculty Database System: Report on a proposal for a 2-3 year voluntary implementation.
2. Arts & Sciences Council's charter to committee: Review and possibly recommend modifications.
3. External Review of A&SIST: Propose specific issues for review.
4. Departmental IT Budgets: Review algorithms for development; review overall level of support.
5. Central, distributed and local services: How to review and modify services to get the right locus of operation for each.
6. Proto-typical department IT service model: Review and recommend as starting point for departmental customization within school framework.
7. Multimedia support: Review model for collaboration and shared expertise both within A&S and throughout University (other schools, OIT, CIT, Perkins, Auxiliaries.)
8. Social Sciences Research Institute: Review and recommend IT and Data Center resources
9. Space planning: high performance computing and servers.
10. Long Range Plan Benchmarks & Milestones: Review progress.
