Support
A&SIST staff support Duke-owned hardware that was purchased through A&SIST, purchased in consultation with A&SIST staff, or that is otherwise consistent with A&SIST-supported (i.e., CPPAS) models. Additionally, limited support is available for hardware that does not meet the above criteria.

Purchasing
To ensure support, we strongly advise consulting with your departmental IT staff before purchasing any computers or peripherals, such as printers, scanners, PDAs, and iPods.
Every four years each eligible faculty and staff member is provided with a new computer through the Computer Purchasing Program for Arts & Sciences (CPPAS). These computers, for which A&SIST develops standard configurations and special pricing, are purchased with A&SIST funds.
