Arts and Literatures, Civilizations, Foreign Languages,
Natural Sciences, Quantitative Reasoning, Social Sciences.
(In 4 Areas, 3 courses must be taken, 1 of
which must be 100-level or above. 2 courses in the 5th Area.
While courses may carry 2 Area codes, students may use a course
toward only 1 Area).

Arts and Literatures, Civilizations, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences,
and Mathematics (at least 2 in Natural Sciences)
Modes of Inquiry: 2 exposures in Quantitative,
Inductive, and Deductive Reasoning; 2 in Interpretive and
Aesthetic Approaches;
Focused Inquiries: 2 in each -- Cross Cultural
Inquiry; Science, Technology, and Society; Ethical Inquiry.
Competencies: 1--3 Foreign Language; 3 Writing; 2
Research.
